Informal Resolution: Equipping Your Title IX Superhero
Regardless of whether your institution must comply with the 2020 Title IX Rules or the 2024 Title IX Rules in the coming academic year, your institution has the option to use informal resolution where available and appropriate, and all parties voluntarily consent. Many institutions did not make the most of this powerful and effective tool under the 2020 Title IX Rules.
This 3.5-hour course provides training about what the 2020 Title IX Rules and 2024 Title IX Rules require regarding informal resolution. More importantly, it provides tips regarding informal resolution processes your institution can use to maximize this valuable option for resolving Title IX complaints. Our Title IX attorneys will be joined by our colleague Carlos Lopez, a former state judge and prolific and effective mediator and arbitrator. Mr. Lopez will provide guidance and tips for informal resolution facilitators that can make this powerful tool work for your institution in a manner that creates a win-win for all parties and for the institution.
